New Patients

Fees

  • No charge for 10-15 minute initial phone consult
  • 45 Minute Therapy sessions  —   $350
  • Comprehensive Assessments — $450/hour which includes all time spent on travel to/from school visits and all time spent on the full written report which is available 3 weeks after the final parent feedback and sent electronically. (The typical full assessment is approximately 6-7 visits of 2 hours each plus one hour of test scoring/interpretation for every 2 hour testing session.) I generally tell people to estimate my assessments will be approximately 15-18 hours @ $450/hour although this in ONLY an estimate and depending on the needs of your child, it can vary.

Policies

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment for either therapy or assessment, please call my office at (650) 694-4678 and leave a message on my confidential voicemail. I typically return calls Monday-Friday although I am not in the office on Fridays.

 

I will return your call as soon as possible and we can spend 10-15 minutes on a brief call to determine if I my practice is the right fit for you/your child.

 

I often run a wait time of up to 2-4 months for assessment, but I do get cancellations and offer those on a first come/first serve basis. My therapy openings vary from quarter to quarter and my after-school openings are typically the first to book up. If my practice is full at the time of your call, I will offer you referrals to other professionals in the area.

 

Should we decide to work together, I will send you a schedule via email which also includes all necessary consent forms and Releases of Information when indicated.

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of the visit unless we decide together that you can be billed on a monthly basis (this is common for my therapy patients). I require full payment for assessments no later than the day of the final parent feedback visit.

 

I do not accept insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider.

I do not write single case contracts but may provide pre-authorization consults with your insurance company depending on the amount of time and paperwork required.

 

You must check with your insurance company for specific benefits available to you as you may wish to submit my invoices showing a zero balance. These invoices may allow you some level of reimbursement.

 

I do not accept money from school districts (although I do perform Independent Educational Evaluations routinely, I require that parents pay me directly then seek reimbursement from their school district.)

No Show/Cancellation Policy

  • You must provide at least 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel a therapy session.
  • You must provide at least 2 weeks notice if you wish to cancel an entire assessment schedule.
  • You will be charged a fee of $450 if you cancel an assessment with less than 2 weeks notice.
  • If these policies are not followed, you will be charged the full fee for therapy sessions.
